If SCOTUS ruled in favor of Trump, no matter how right Trump might be . . .
- There would be riots like we have never seen. Excessive arson, looting, vandalism, and violence.
- Media would go hysterical claiming that SCOTUS stole the election for Trump.
- Media would blame the riots on SCOTUS. Media would say that, of course people are frustrated about having the election stolen.
- History books would forever blame Biden's election lose on a corrupt SCOTUS.
SCOTUS is very concerned about their reputation, about how they will go down in history. Note that no justice, appointed by Trump, voted in favor of Trump. If a justice did that, that justice would forever have his/her reputation tarnished as a stooge for Trump.
SCOTUS knows that republicans will not riot. Repubs will grumble, but that's about it. Also, the left controls the media, and academia.
The path of least resistance demands that SCOTUS just stay out of it. Therefore, mob rule wins.
